At UPMC Otolaryngology--Head & Neck Surgery, we do not believe in score cut-offs or filters to narrow down our application pool. You are more than your board score! So we just read them all!
While we received about 500 applications, we read every application...twice...sometimes three or four times. Two faculty, or one resident and one faculty, holistically review every application that we receive in order to develop our interview offer list. Our program directors then re-review the top applications.
